St. John's Collects 830 Bags for Food Pantry

St. John's collected 830 bags of groceries and other necessary supplies for the CARE-and-SHARE Food Pantry in 2021. In spite of the pandemic and the suspension of in-person worship for part of the year, members of the congregation continued with regular donations to the food pantry, thanks to encouragement leadership from parishioner Shirley Oldfield.  New this year is a a 40/40 challenge to the congregation: during the 40 days of Lent, strive to give 40 items to the food pantry.

There is still a great need for assistance in the community, and collecting these groceries and supplies is an easy way for us to help those in need. See the shout-out from Inter Community Services on Facebook.
