St. John's has a close relationship with our local school district, Lewiston-Porter. We collect school supplies over the summer for delivery in September and we give them hundreds of dollars in merchant gift cards for emergency needs that always arise at the beginning of the school year. We also donated $1000 in Tops gift cards this past Christmas to help families who are experiencing food insecurity. We appreciate the work of our Lewiston-Porter school counselors in helping us to ease some of the suffering our our families while respecting the dignity of every human being, as our baptismal covenant requires.
